YATRA - means pilgrimage, or journey - and describes our aim of promoting the creative life journey for the people.

The Yatra Arts Foundation was started in 2005 and its activities are:

a) The main object of the foundation shall be: education through arts, to promote and enrich the fine arts and all other kinds of arts including music, drama, dancing, painting, sculpture, etc., and accommodate artists from different countries of the world for exchanging.

b) Conducting workshops, seminars, discussions on arts and arts festivals.

c) To support and conduct artistic and creative activities like drama classes, painting classes, evening tuition classes, music classes and dance classes.

d) Implementing social and health developmental projects in the villages for example AIDS, Water, Sanitation, Environment and Organic farming projects.

e) Training NGO’s in various topics as water, sanitation, health and environment. Training school teachers in making programs based on art.

f) Showing health and social developmental films through video projects to develop communities in awareness.

g) Creating awareness program on pesticides and the importance of organic farming in the villages.

h) Performing Street Theatres about water, sanitation, health and social issues.
